A patriot's love of country is not determined by observing National holidays, wearing his or her country's flag, making annual visits to its tourism hotspots or speaking with a profound fondness. Patriotism is characteristic of sacrifice and a willingness to serve for the greater good of society.

All Nations, great and small, are wrestling with unemployment, challenges to education and literacy, major increases in crime and violence, deteriorating family values, heathcare concerns, forgotten children in State custody and a host of our socio-economic ills. To this end, Jamaica is no different.

Under my leadership, the Eye on Jamaica Project has dedicated itself to seeking out unique ways to tackle old problems. Our many achievements are the result of stakeholder involvement, a no quit attitude and collaborative efforts between Jamaicans and Friends of Jamaica.

Though an awareness and response initiative, we are shining a spotlight on the impoverished segments of Jamaican society thereby making known the needs of individuals and communities, in an effort to garner the human, financial and material resources needed to solve the problems.

With technological advancements such as the internet, I am cognizant of the goodwill and wealth of talent possessed by the citizens of our great world and their ability to help. As we remain steadfast in our desire to work for the betterment of Jamaica, I extend this personal invitation to all persons locally and internationally to contact us and get involved.
